How long is each Camp session?

Our camp program operates on a 4 week rotation.  Some months will run right into the next and some months will have a 1-2 week transition period between, based on the time of year, for proper muscle recovery and to prevent overuse injuries.

How does the 1-week free trial process work?

At Fly Girl Fitness our goal is to make every participant in our camps feel the best they can, this is why we offer a 1 week trail.  We want you to give us a test run before you commit and we want to ensure that you will contribute to the positive environment that we provide for the other bootcampers.  It’s all about attitude!

Trial weeks are only offered during specific phases of camp out of respect to the current members.  All trial members must complete and submit an initial camp registration prior to their first day.

What happens after the trail week?

Boot camp is like a fitness intervention…a fun one!  We want to kick you into shape but always at the core of our work with each and every person is the goal of boosting the self-confidence, health and energy.  We want you to live your life to the fullest!  Our camps have several different elements that we’ve found are powerful tools in gaining self-confidence, health and energy;

A positive environment, a good attitude is key to success and so we ensure that the room remains a place without judgement from the trainer or the other campers.

We have each bootcamper sign a contract saying they will stick to a healthy diet and lifestyle choices.  We ask our campers to track their food so they can see what they are eating every day, it also gives your trainer a better picture of your daily routines so that we can help make changes.

We make sure to keep the energy in the room high with music, encouragement and above all, the many smiling faces!

What can I expect during my fitness assessment?

Fitness assessment are personally created for our in-home clients depending on what their goals are. For Fitness Campers we will take your measurements, weight and body fat and do a short physical assessment as a group. We use all of this information as a starting point so that we can see your progression over the months.  These numbers will help you keep your fitness goals in mind as well as encourage you to keep working when you see the difference from your first day to the last day of the session!

Are your instructors certified and insured?

Yes, our instructors were certified through a full three year diploma program at George Brown College, Can Fit Pro certified, Stott Pilates and CPR certified.  They also continue their education by taking a number of courses and workshops each year to keep up to date in the ever changing health field.   As well as the certifications and insurance of each trainer, Briar Munro, owner of Fly Girl Fitness, has been training one on one and in group sessions for the past 10 years and she personally trains all of her trainers in the positive methods that she has developed from her experience.  Briar ensures that all trainers at Fly Girl Fitness share her values of positive training that is focused on increasing the self-esteem, health and energy of each and every client.
